Take a word choice quiz

Today's quiz is about word choice. I find myself fixing word choice problems quite often. Sometimes, the mistake is just a typo. A writer means one word, but types another similar word. Sometimes, though, writers are unclear on the varying shades of meaning between two similar words. Editors need to be tuned in as they read because these mistakes can be easy to overlook.

Tough one. First one I've failed! Only got the first and last ones right. Still fun.

Interesting. I actually learned one of the word in the test from the movie "Erin Brokovich".
