With Bret Hedican back in the lineup and the rest of Carolina's defense reasonably healthy, the Hurricanes sent Casey Borer to Albany (AHL). Borer was a healthy scratch Tuesday.

Borer, 22, played in three games since his Feb. 14 recall and 11 total this season. Borer has one goal and two assists with the Canes.

i am not a hater but Bret is just to banged up to be productive anymore. ITs been a great run but appears over

Can't agree more...Borer should be playing. How long before Hedican comes up injured again? He has been a great player for the Canes but time is catching up with him.
