Spurrier zings Heels again

South Carolina coach Steve Spurrier

CHAPEL HILL — After Steve Spurrier's last trip to Kenan Stadium, his Duke team posed for a picture underneath the scoreboard after the Blue Devils' 41-0 win in 1989.

Spurrier's new team, South Carolina, didn't have a Kodak moment after beating UNC 21-15. But that didn't stop the Ol' Ball Coach from zinging the Tar Heels.

"I'm happy," Spurrier said. "I didn't want to lose up here. I'm happy for the Dukies and the South Carolina people. I felt like I was coaching for both of them today."

Spurrier improved to 4-0 against UNC and 3-0 at Kenan Stadium. South Carolina let a 21-3 lead turn into a six-point nail-biter but that didn't dampen Spurrier's mood.

"A lot of people would love to be 3-0 in this stadium," Spurrier said. "I'm the happiest of 'em."

S. Carolina may have won the game. They didn't beat the Heels, though. The game clock did. Congratulations to all S. Carolina fans. Steve Spurrier is not a fan or a man. He is a child in a "man's" body. I'll admit S. Carolina took it to the Heels in the first half. At the end of the third quarter and through the fourth quarter the Heels took it good to S. Carolina. I usually don't talk big when it comes to sports. I will say when Carolina goes down to S. Carolina in a couple of years.. I'm going to try to be there. I will laugh hard when the Heels take it to S. Carolina. Good luck to S. Carolina the rest of the year.. as for UNC I just don't think they'll need luck for too many more seasons. I know S. Carolina scored more in this game. I also know it the same UNC team played them them all game that played in the fourth quarter...... I don't think Spurrier would be smiling so wide now. He'd probably be sticking out his lip and trying to find someone else to blame. Go Heels. This fan will not give up on you.. not now and not ever.

Oh well, we all have an opinion. I may be delusional, but atleast it's about my team, and not someone else's. Go Heels!!!! This fan will ALWAYS support you!
