Eye-popping, but not contact-popping

CHAPEL HILL — North Carolina forward Tyler Hansbrough played with so much intensity last season that his contacts routinely popped out of his eyes, making searching for his lost lenses between possessions a routine part of the game.

His aggressiveness hasn't lapsed, so what gives? Laser surgery? A new prescription?

"No,'' he said Tuesday, smiling. "I've just been lucky, I guess. They've only popped out once this year."
